Pulled the Pujols from Topps Series 2 this morning. I was amazed cause I NEVER pull Pujols.

Did you buy retail? I thought S2 didn't shelf until tomorrow. If you bought retail, did you get hanger boxes? I'm trying to figure out if the holo foil nightmare is continuing in S2.

Yup bought 2 retail hanger boxes from Target. Usually, retail shelfs before the hobby release date. Doesn't make sense to most collectors but it does to retailers. The product is stocked on Tuesdays at retail chains like Target and Wal-Mart by an independent merchandiser. If the release date isn't until tomorrow, and they waited for the release date, then the product wouldn't be stocked until the following week, losing a week of sales. Hobby dealers and wholesalers hate this, and I don't blame them, because it decreases their sales. As long as big box stores purchase in large quantities, this will never change.

They appear to be holofoils...but you know the problems I had with Series 1 !!! LOL
