Snagged a box of 13 Bowman Draft for cheap during Blowout Cards' Black Friday stuff, here's what came of it:



Shipley Auto, Pederson 11/75, Danish 1/50

2 autos from a hobby box, I'll take that. Bowman has been very good to me this year.

Bonus, today's mail brought something special. I have been on a quest since 2013 Gypsy Queen released, and a week ago I finally spotted one of the five mini wood Monteros. The starting bid was a bit rich, but I had the coin for it and won with one bid, it never went over the starting bid. That being said, welcome home, 13 Gypsy Queen Wood Parallel #347 Jesus Montero 5/5. Rainbow complete (minus plates, I still haven't seen any of those).

Awesome Matt! The Montero rainbow is impressive without the printing plates! I haven't seen any GQ Mini Printing Plates, have you?

Thanks Jerry! No, I haven't, I have one from last year, they framed them like the mini autos/gu. Pretty cool idea, they did that again this year, but I haven't seen any Monteros. I'm relatively certain that there are still a few hundred cases of the stuff that remain unopened so I could see one before 2014, but I doubt it, lol. I still haven't seen the two regular plates I need nor the Silver Bordered 1/1.

So, we just buy a few hundred cases of GQ! LOL! I read somewhere that there was an abundance and it had already driven down the pre-sell price for 2014. I'll guarantee after the success of 2011 GQ and a pretty good sale of 2012, Topps decided to get greedy and over-produce 2013. That's par for their course.

To piggy-back on your conversation about framed plates, Havnt seen the GQ plates framed, but I have a A & G of Cruz. They are framed like Jerry mentioned:

Eh...I like Mark T.'s potential in the middle of the lineup @ AZ....i think he was lost in the Angels lineup, him and Goldie should produce even more runs this yr.....i thought Id be bummed about Skaggs leaving, but he's been nothing to bragg about. We need to find some better starting pitching and we'll be good to go!

The Greinke is close to being considered a 1/1. Its 13/50 (He was 13 for the Brewers).

That has to be one of the strangest things Ive ever heard. If there's 50, how could it be close to being considered a 1/1? A 1/1 means there is only one . Period.
