1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Voted # 1 By Baseball Fans & Collectors

Collectors voted and the countdown has concluded…the # 1 Topps Baseball Card from the past 60 years is the iconic 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle (# 311)

In celebration of 60 years of Topps Baseball Cards, baseball fans and collectors had the chance to go to http://vote.topps.com to vote for their favorite Topps baseball cards of all-time. Voting was up for 30 days and then cards started to count down from number 60 (Mike Schmidt Rookie Card) back in mid-December.

And to add to the celebration, Topps went out and purchased the Top 60 cards and has randomly inserted them into packs of 2011 Topps Baseball Series 1!

Wow can't believe Strawberry placed that high! He was a good player, but good enough to rank that high?

I am one of the biggest Strawberry homers you will ever run across.

I was super excited when i read this list.

        but i have to agree.

If he would have stayed off drugs I have no doubt he would be the all time homerun king. And one of the greatest hitters ever.

He was exciting to watch and people loved him.
