Josh Beckett A&G Mini (no number)

This is more of a question than anything else. A few months ago I opened a pack of A&G WORLDS CHAMPIONS 2009.

In that pack I pulled a Josh Beckett Mini. I looked at the back and it was hand written in blue a five digit number. Then I noticed the card was not numbered.

What is the deal with this? Is this common? Is it a coincidence that the card is not numbered and hand written five digit number on the back.
Can someone shed some light this for me?

It is NOT a five digit number...it should be XX/50, sometimes the "/" looks like a one.

These are short print non-numbered mini's that A&G produce.

Thanks you did indeed. it looked like 17150 when in fact it is 17/50. Thats pretty cool.
Now I wonder if the card has any value.

Why do they hand write the number on the cards? Just curious.

not sure why they write them....cheaper than stamping the numbers?

a few years ago I pulled a Mark Martin Autographed Glove Card numbered to 316.

Posted it up for a trade and the first guy that responded to my post said "it's 3 of 6 (3/6) NOT 316."

He was right and the difference was several hundred dollars..lol
