Topps has announced that it will return to producing a baseball stickers set--at least for this year.** In early August, the company will release a product similar to what it offered years ago; a collection of player stickers and team logos plus an album to go with them--all geared toward the younger set and their parents.
The 2011 Topps sticker collection will include 270 players--9 for each big league team, plus nine legends done in foil and logos for each of the 30 teams.* Topps will also produce a 32-page album to hold them.
The legends will include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Hank Aaron.
At 99-cents per pack and 50 packs per box, a youngster or family should come close to a complete set --or get one--out of a box.* Dealer cost will be a little over $25.
Topps began offering its line of baseball stickers in 1981 and produced them for several years.* The company's soccer sticker sets have been big hits in Europe and other futbol-mad countries.
