Duke Snider Bobblehead Night
Last week, the Dodgers had their sixth and final bobblehead giveaway. They honored Duke Snider, who passed away earlier this year. Duke's Hall of Fame plaque was on display for fans to take pictures with, but I didn't arrive early enough.
The Phillies defeated the Dodgers 2-1. It was my first time watching Cliff Lee pitch in-person and not only did he shut down my Dodgers, he hit a solo homerun to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead. Dodgers scored a run in the bottom of the 9th inning against Ryan Madson.
Before the game, the Dodgers showed a video tribute to Duke Snider:
The bobblehead was presented by State Farm and Duke Snider was featured in his Brooklyn uniform. It's a simple bobblehead and there isn't that much going on like the Fernandomania one. The bat has to be screwed onto the handle.
I'm looking forward to see which bobbleheads will be given out next season.
