A Very Sweet Albert Pujols- MLB Logo Pull.

I went to WalMart today looking for Topps Platinum Football. They didn't have any, so I grabbed some 2010 Topps Series # 1 Rack Packs. I opened them in my car and this sweet card popped out.



Thinking it was a real MLB Logo patch, I looked on the back for the 1/1 numbering, but it turned out to be a Commemorative Patch #'ed 14/50. Not a real patch after all, but still a sweet hit from a 5.00 pack.

gotta love that the card companies are now making the same fake patches everyone has been warning people about on ebay for years...

I think you would like this one Ed. One other Pujols sold on eBay for 178.00. These cards are tough pulls at 1 in 3,130 packs. Also, it's a Commemorative patch, far different from the fake patches we have heard about.

im not saying it isnt a great pull- it is, especially being pujols- im just saying that "commemorative patch" sounds to me like topps bought a bunch of MLB patches, probably from the same place some of the fakers shop, and then put them in the cards- the only difference is, we know the topps ones arent real MLB logos from uniforms.

Its why Im heading back to collecting vintage- no patches there to worry about authenticity.

That is true, there are no patches with Vintage cards, but there are plenty of fake vintage cards out there. I have seen many over the years and they are tough to catch.
