Cardboard Counselors
Last night, I witnessed something extremely depressing and disturbing. I rushed home from dinner to see Justin Verlander, Miguel Cabrera, and the rest of the Detroit Tigers officially end the Oakland Athletics2013 season.
Simply put... it hurt. Most of us have been there before. And each of us copes with this emotional tidal wave in one way or another.
Some people drink. Other people eat. One of my friends hopped into her car and went grocery shopping. Another went to sleep.
But I went a different route. I started sifting through my box of unsorted cards, where I keep recent flea market and eBaypurchases, cards sent from fellow bloggers, and other items that are waiting to be filed.
That's when I stumbled across these three awesome cards:

And believe it or not... these three beautiful, shiny inserts took my mind off the loss for a solid 40 to 60 seconds.
Have you ever seen these before? They're awesome! Well... that's assuming you can appreciate mid 90's, shiny, oversized parallels that utilize a simple design and incorporate some of the biggest names in the game.
And they're the perfect thing to help take your mind off of things when all of your World Serieshopes and dreams are flushed down the drain.
