  • Rookies I Will be Collecting in the Second Half of the Season

Landry Fields: Fields was no doubt overlooked in the 2010 NBA Draft. I am very surprised by his production so far this year. He is averaging 10.1 points/game while starting on a youthful, monster market New York Knicks team that is only going to get better. As New York makes its playoff push this spring, I would expect Fields' values to rise.

Wesley Johnson: Yes, it is true that Johnson plays on a dreadful team, but while some may see that as a disadvantage, I see it as an advantage. Even though he has only been averaging 9.4 points/game while battling some knee injuries, Johnson has a chance to be Minnesota's go-to-guy in the next couple of years.

Greivis Vasquez: Granted, this is a homer/sleeper pick, but my reasons for wanting to buy him are logical. His 3.4 points/game and 2.4 assists/game may lead you to believe that he hasn't done jack squat, however, I have witnessed many a Grizz game where Vasquez came off the bench and provided a spark with his ability to create for others, and his outside shooting ability. If Vasquez ever reaches the level of play he was at in college, I will look like a genius.

If New York gets Carmelo, I think Fields would get traded to Denver. Wesley Johnson has improved lately, but Rambis needs to figure out what to do with Corey Brewer and Martell Webster. Both of them are hurting Johnson's playing time.
