Beginning at 8 a.m. today, the 1929 throwback Packers uniforms and helmets worn in Sunday’s victory over the San Francisco 49ers will be available* at PackersProShop.com.
The game-worn uniforms, a re-creation of those worn by the 1929 championship team, will be sold to the public. * All 45 uniforms and helmets of the active players from the game will be available, with prices to vary by player.
Each uniform and each helmet will come with a certificate of authenticity and be marked with a special hologram. Uniforms have not been laundered.
The sale of the uniforms will benefit charity, with 10 percent of the proceeds to be directed to the Green Bay Packers Foundation, the charitable arm of the organization that has distributed more than $2 million since it was established in 1986 for education, civic affairs, health services, human services and youth-related programs. Other proceeds from the sales will go toward the cost of the third jersey program.
Packers game-worn jerseys and shoes and other game-used items, including footballs and equipment, have been available to fans in recent years through the Pro Shop, contests and other fan programs. The team also has donated game-worn and game-used items to charity.
Sales are first come, first-served, and all purchases are final.
