Gradable?

Hi, I just picked this up last week at Triple Cards.. I know it's hard to really examine on here but I was wondering if you guys think I should get this card Graded.. Beckett of course, but if ya'll don't think it will get a 9 or higher I don't think I'll bother. Thanks for your time!

Personally I don't think it would get a 9 or better. The centering doesn't look that great, and granted a scan doesn't fully show everything the edges don't look all that great.

Centering and edges look iffy. I sent some in I thought looked good, wow was I wrong.

It refers to how evenly centered the card is. Left to right & top to bottom.

Using this card as an example, the "margin" on the left of the photo is wider than the one on the right. And it's also wider on the top than the bottom.

Is it just me or does it look like it's rotated a little clockwise, too?

I think it's an optical illusion due to the angle of the picture in the middle.. kinda freaky.

I don't think the centering is terrible, but I do think that it is slightly off. I couldn't guess how it would be graded. I've never made a good judgement call on grades before. What did it cost you?

I paid $25 for it. Al has a huge wall of card boxes organized by year and set, I don't know how long they have been there but I used to go in and look through the 90's for my Irvin PC but my last trip in I looked for older Cowboys cards. I got to '84 Topps and he had 3 of these in the box.. if I was thinking I would have bought all of them.
