I've been telling my wife that my collecting goals pertaining to hobby boxes in 2013, would be to step back and purchase products that we both enjoyed collecting in 2012. It does not mean that we would not purchase 2013 hobby boxes, its just the fact that Mrs. Toshi absolutely loves collecting rookie cards of Andrew Luck, RGIII, Alfred Morris, and Russell Wilson. Some of the products that we both love are Panini Absolute, Panini Black, Panini Totally Certified, Panini Crown Royale, and Panini Playbook. One item of special interest is Panini Elite! I love the inserts and acetate cards that the hobby boxes provide. That's a product that we did not purchase, so in hindsight, it will probably be the first item of purchase for us. On the other side of the collecting spectrum, Bowman Chrome (A Topps product) would be nice, but at over $300.00 a box, that would be a wait and see situation.
As for my own personal goals in collecting; Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Matt Ryan in modern 2013 card sets as well as rookie autograph cards. The latter being extremely pricy.
So it was no surprise to me at our recent grocery run at Walmart that Mrs. Toshi decided to see what 2013 has to offer! Here are some highlights of her breaks!!!

Having been born and raised in Honolulu Hawaii, we will support Te'o, make believe girlfriend or not.

Two players that upset her are Peyton Manning and Collin Kaepernick. Peyton Manning due to taking Tim Tebows job and Collin Kaepernick taking Alex Smiths job. I told her that the NFL is made for fans, but still is a corporation. She doesn't care! Of course I don't argue with her, I tell her that she is always correct and I am to blame. This includes but not limited to the ozone layer and the melting of the polar ice cap to name a few. That's how you stay married for 20 years. This also allows me to watch NFL games uninterrupted. A very small price to pay in my humble opinion.

Of all the 2013 cards she was unable to get were examples of Luck, RGIII, etc.

Our favorite card for 2013 is this example of Joseph Fauria, it's an interesting foil type glitter card!
