"Generosity" A prescription of healing ones soul!

Every one of the members here have been extremely helpful and generous, always willing to help out in anyway they can! Since May 5, 2010, I can only recall waking up from the hospital bed and dressed in my very sexy hospital gown, (The type that has three strings in the back and everyone and their mothers can see your posterior) saying can I go home? And there standing behind the nurses was my daughter laughing at my unusual attire with my wife. She was laughing as well! Apparently, I was released and my wife and daughter came to pick me up. Besides that one memory, I honestly cannot remember anything for two years.

Sometime later, I've had bits and pieces of cloudy scenes that I can recall, my daughter riding on top of a yellow convertible Corvette waving to people in a parade (She was part of the Homecoming Court), again my daughter making all her shots on a foul called during a basketball game, and her kicking a goal for the school girls soccer team. Only until recently, have I been able to comprehend my day to day activities due to my iPad that my family purchased for me. I think I would fail if I ever lost my iPad! I now will be a grandfather sometime in November, my son and daughter in-law are expecting a boy. My daughter has made the Dean's list at Kent State University. Again things that I'll recall yet not know nor understand clearly. I only know that I'm extremely happy for them.

With weekly therapy, a psychiatrist, pain medication, and check ups, this is definitely not something I planned on early in my life. What I also did not plan on was this strange new world of football card collecting! Starting with simple packs all the way to high end products, little by little I've been able to remember what cards I've collected and who my favorite player is. With the help of Mrs. Toshi, I'm able to tap on my iPad and convey my thoughts to you all. With the help of the CCW members, I have made not friends but true connections that I can actually feel. Through many members, the generosity of sending and mailing cards through trades has uplifted my spirit and allowed me to enjoy something that I've never had in the last three years.

Today I received my second redemption from Panini of which I will share with everyone this evening. I also received a gift from another member whom went through a difficult 2012 year! He now is the sole provider for his children and stands as the role model of mom and dad. We do not need to look elsewhere for heroes and leaders! Everyone here knows a member who is one or is one themselves. So without further adieu, I'll share with everyone what cueballz1 sent to me just because!

I am way beyond liking them! You should see my daughters boyfriend expression when he viewed these cards. He kept insisting that I must have traded something with you! Finally, Mrs. Toshi verified that I was telling the truth.

I've been telling him to join CCW! He has an estimated 250,000 cards or more. He could do trades with members everyday. He is just way too busy between work and Kent State. His major is law. His career choice is an attorney.
