My Fathers Day Cards Arrived in 24hrs.

As many of you know, Mrs. Toshi made a purchase of hobby boxes for me as a gift for Fathers Day. She was given a tracking number. Mrs. Toshi mentioned that I should be receiving my cards this afternoon. I did not take her seriously until I got a knock on the door. A small box was received by me from the driver, I thought about for a second, Mrs. Toshi was not kidding. We did not open anything until my daughter and her boyfriend Brett arrived at 8:00pm this evening. Once here, as I promised, I would do a step by step pictorial of my Father's Day breaks. I hope you all enjoy these photos from my breaks!



The first break is of my free gift. 2012 Upper Deck including a special 5 card insert.
All the cards posted here will be my personal collection, it has a value that cannot be priced. A sentimental value, the value of love from my family!

The 8th photo with Jordy Nelson & Janoris Jenkins is a card of Mrs. Toshi's all time favorite player Darren Sproles. As for her chase of RGIII? She is very happy and excited that the Momentum break had the hit that she was searching for.

Thanks! Here is an interesting story for everyone! I have not opened any Hobby Boxes since December 25, 2012. It's either Mrs. Toshi ripping the packs open or Mrs. Toshi, my daughter, and my daughters boyfriend. The last hobby box I opened was a 2012 Panini Certified and a 2012 Topps Triple Threads on Christmas Day. LOL!

It's not me that has the luck, I think it has to do with "Women's Intuition" or something. Every box my wife touches, it seems to be a hit in the box. Let me tell you, there were some hobby boxes that did not have "The Card" in it. I recall '12 Panini Prizm, '12 Panini Black (This black break, although good was not as great as the first Black.), '12 Platinum (I did not have any Luck or Wilson base. I would have been happy with the base. You definitely did much better than we did), and '12 Certified and Totally Certified among others. And I still have not been able to pull my all time idol, Brett Farve in modern cards. I'm waiting for a auto relic of a Favre card! At least a auto! At some point, I'll purchase one from the secondary market. I'll get a "Red Star" rookie auto. It's Favres only rookie auto and this card is unique in fact that the auto is on the back of the card. Any auto in front is suspect to forgery. Your hit is right around the corner.

Yes, I definitely have a list on my iPad with your name and what you're into! And thank you for reading my post. I feel that collecting is a very personal experience, so when I have little stories here and there to add, it brings out emotional feelings that other collectors can relate to. Or in my opinion; "What other collectors feel"! And you said it best; "Love the passion for the hobby"! Don't give up on your RGIII PULL!!!! Your next box break could just be the RGIII break!

If this helps, my wife and I will dabble with new releases in 2013 with purchases of inexpensive retail blaster boxes. The football card funds will be utilized for 2012 hobby boxes. It is my humble opinion that many collectors are now focused with 2013 hobby boxes. Well, there are still hundreds if not thousands of RGIII, Luck, Wilson, and Morris cards with a combination auto relic hit. Or more so of the elusive 1/1 "White Whale"! Lets not forget the Superfractors that are still waiting to be discovered in this treasure box of 2012 hits! Ten, twenty years from now, the 2012 cards of what I like to call "The Year of the Quarterback" will be exceptional premium products due to the high price point that it commands in 2012 alone. It's simply a matter of time and demand. This makes your chances in pulling one of the 2012 QB's cards greater as collectors move forward. A good example is to look at the price of one of the most successful products of the year, 2012 Topps Chrome. I recall prices last year for a hobby box in the average range of $120.00 to $130.00. You can't find one nor be hard pressed to find one for under $150.00! I wish you the best of luck in your quest for a RGIII card!

Thank you! Mrs. Toshi is happy with the cards. We now await for a delivery of 2012 Panini Elite that my daughters boyfriend had just purchased. We should see the delivery of this hobby box sometime tomorrow afternoon!
