2013 Panini Rookies and Stars Hanger Packs

Walmart, Walmart, Walmart. That's all you here from me these days. I apologize! Mrs. Toshi and I utilize the blaster boxes and hanger packs to see what the new products look like. Granted, we won't find any Momentum, Triple Threads, or National Treasure hanger packs at Walmart. Wouldn't that be funny? I'm glad we get a chance in sampling these cards, we can get a handful of cards from $4.89 to $19.99 without breaking the bank. And if we really like what we see? Then we can head to the hobby shop. If we don't? No big deal. I must admit, all of 2013 cards have had a huge facelift from products that debut in 2012. I don't think we would buy a hobby box nor more retail of '13 RS. It's just not for us. What is unusual is the Crusade insert, I recall Panini utilizing this design for one of their basketball products. Below, I've included today's purchase of 2013 RS.

If that crusade is knile davis I could use it. I have Marquise Goodwin RC Crusade from that product and some other base rcs I puled from 2 or three packs I opened. Thanks for sharing.

Browsing eBay, I noticed SP versions of "Crusade". The red and gold are numbered to 49. They seem to be in the $20.00 range. The rare all gold are numbered to 25 and are going for $50.00. I like the Luck all gold which is $50.00. But I don't feel that the purchase justifies the card. I would rather purchase a SP 2012 Rookie card of Luck for that price.

For Mrs. Toshi and I, we thought it was ok from last years 2012 RS. In reality, we definately agree with you in regards to collecting RS. Last year, we were not fans of 2012 Panini Gridiron, although we purchased several single packs as we were excited and new to the hobby, 2012 Rookies and Stars, for the same reason stated above, and finally 2012 Score. Mrs. Toshi was neutral at best in regards to '12 Score, I was not excited by it. I do completely understand now that those products are for set collectors as well as young collectors. Of course these products were definitely perfect for us as novice collectors. In essence, at the least, it gave us a starting point of what we liked and what we did not like, and what we were going to purchase from a high end level of football cards. I do know that as varied in taste of each individual collectors are, so there are as many products available for each unique taste of collectors. Thank you so much for your input. That's why I truly cherish this forum! I enjoy reading forum members comments and ideas from a standpoint that most and maybe all members have been collecting for many, many years! I take all comments to heart, I've learned so much from everyone, and you are all the most thoughtful and wonderful people. I consider everyone on this forum as my second family!!!!!!!
