  • My 2012 and 2013 Collection

    Hello my fellow members!

This is not Mrs. Toshi! It's me. Thank you to all members for your very heart felt concerns. I appreciate you all. I'm not 100% better, but I am feeling good enough to share this with you all.

So this is what my life has been like. Sleep, bathroom, sleep for a few weeks. Then Mrs. Toshi's breaks of 2012 Prime Signatures, 2013 Momentum, and Certified a week ago. And finally my family helping me with organizing our football collection. What?

Yes, I reorganized our collection. When Mrs. Toshi and I purchased our football cards, everything went into top loaders and all cards that had autos and jerseys went into magnetic cases. For two weeks our project consisted of the following. All cards that had a value of $5.00 or less were removed from the top loaders and placed into team bags with similar cards. These cards were left in penny sleeves prior to placing them into team bags. Then all auto relic cards were removed from magnetic cases placed into penny sleeves and finally placed in 130pt. thick top loaders then sealed in a team bag for extra protection. These cards that had a minimal value were arranged as such. Cards that had a higher value were left in their original top loaders and magnetic cases. And one of my lessons learned from forum members that I have not forgotten is; "Collect what I like". So cards that I cherished even with minimal value were cared for as if it was gold.

I ended up with approximately 2000 top loaders and 100 magnetic cases from 35pt., 75pt., 100pt., 130pt., and 180pt. Am I done now? Not at this point!

Thanks to bcw716, my daughter and I have been working on creating a free catalog from Sports Card Album. Now the football collection looks proffesional and neatly organized with all the necessary information. Just make sure you put a NFT (Not For Trade) sign on your card or other collectors on that forum will immediately inquire on your card.

Once again, I want to thank everyone for your support. I will work very hard in my healing process and do my best in getting back to my hobby that I so enjoy; "Collecting Football Cards"!

    Toshi

I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.

    Mr. Toshi!

Glad to see you back & doing better.

Deciding how to "file" your collection can be tricky, but as long as you're keep your PC (Personal Collection) separated from the rest pretty much anything can work (as long as YOU understand it ).
    - Dave

I collect Calvin, Barry, 1 auto each of rookie Lions that make the team & HOF auto & GU.

Thank you. I'm doing better, but I noticed that I'm dizzy and still unstable. As the saying goes; "One step at a time"!

I have had my daughter, son, niece, and Mrs. Toshi help me input the hits and cards that Mrs. Toshi and I like into a subscription of a free program offered to sports card collectors. The site is called Sports Card Album. My daughter saw the link on bcw716's thread. She clicked on it and went through bcw716's collection. We both felt that this was really a great way to organize a sport card collection. Check it out! Click on my link at the bottom of this page. I think it's really cool and it's free with no limits.
