First, thank you forum members for your support! I have mentioned time and time again, you are all my second family.
I'm still under doctors care, Ha! That's an understatement. I should say more than normal. I am leaving soon to a therapy session from 11:30 to 4:30. I don't need a job, I have a full time job going to the doctors. So while I'm waiting for my ride, my son is helping me write this quick analogy. He needs to go to bed as he is the 3rd. shift manager and one of the youngest ones at that at Walmart. He is going to be a dad in November which makes me a grandfather. WOW!
In 2012, we've seen some of the most exciting draft class players enter as starters in the NFL at a myriad of various positions. We've also witnessed record breaking playoff teams with players that have left a indelible mark in the minds of NFL fans. For hobby aficionados like us, 2012 has brought some of the most exciting football cards that are attached to some of the most highest premiums in the history of football card collecting. Through all my issues, 2012 has been so fun and rewarding as I've been able to share my hobby with my whole family and this in turn has also allowed me to have a second family here at CCW.
So here is my caveat. RGIII and the likes of Colin Kaepernick! What of them? (There are many other players too numerous for me to mention here so I've just concentrated my efforts on two players that made an impact in 2012). Will they have or are they in a sophomore slump like Cam Newton? Are these issues temporary at best? And will Andrew Luck be able to live up to the expectations of Colts fans? How about the QB fiasco in Tampa Bay with Freeman and Glennon? Do you bench players that have not lived up to expectations? My biggest question is we normal people must go to a job five days a week and put in 40 hours. We are lucky if we can request a day off. Our pay is nowhere close to these NFL Players. If I were to be offered a multi million dollar contract prior to my injury, you can bet I would be the star employee where I would have been employed.
I know it's too early to ask some of these questions, but my final question is what of these NFL stars football cards? This is really a big WOW for die hard collectors. I would like to know what to expect in the coming months in regards to our collecting of the top NFL draft class.
Toshi
