Here is some background info regarding this hobby box. Brett has purchased three '12 Elite this year. Obviously this is his favorite product. I was looking into purchasing a '12 Crown Royale. Mrs. Toshi and Brett were discussing the potential Elite hobby box having 100 cards as oppose to Crowns 20 cards. One thing my whole family enjoys is the ripping of packs. The more packs the more fun. I prefer less packs, with a potential big hit. The only problem with opening less packs in a product is you can hit big! Or you can hit nothing at all. At least with products that have 100 cards, you tend to spread out the hits.

So Mrs. Toshi and my daughter opened my box while I organized and placed each card in sleeves and or top loaders. The only hit I was thinking of was the "Passing the Torch" series. I thought to myself; "Would it be really great if I could pull the P. Manning A.Luck dual auto the books at $800.00"!

I traded all my Browns cards to Whitney777 since he's a Browns fan. So I had no cards of any Browns players. My goal was to at the very least pull a top 5 2012 draft pick. Pulling a Trent Richardson was far from my mind and not on my list of cards I wanted. It completely slipped my mind that Richardson was third overall. As usual, the very last pack Mrs. Toshi pulls, is the pack with the Richardson card. I thought nothing of it until my daughter and Brett left and Mrs. Toshi went back to her iPad.

After looking at all my cards and organizing my base veteran set, I took the time out to see what book value this break had. Needless to say I was completely shocked to find that the 2012 Panini Elite Auto Jersey "New Breed" RC Trent Richardson #3 (11/25) booked at $150.00. I had to check it twice wondering if I made an error. In the end, I felt good about Mrs. Toshi's desicion in picking '12 Elite over '12 Crown for now. Next month I will break my Crown, and I will definitely share that in "Showcase". Before the year ends, my goal is to break 2012 Crown Royale, 2012 Absolute, 2012 Momentum, 2012 Black, and possibly a 2011 Gold Standard out of curiosity. I will keep everyone up to date.

Thank you. It was a card of a player and team that I was nuetral on adding to our collection.
