Awesome group break. I've never been part of one. Tell me if it's something you would do again.
I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.

I continue to do them since me and my kids like the hobby cards but cant afford to pay hobby prices. I cap what we are willing to spend on things, then get and see what goes down. I have had some good luck with the guy that I hit the ernie banks 1/1 ruby on,the pats hits, now the bengals. I do 1 once maybe at most 2x a week spending maybe a total of $100 a month give or take a little. But yeah I enjoy them alot, the guy that I break with has $3.00 shipping all cards have been in excellent shape and he always have different kinds of football/baseball/hockey breaks so you can spread out your collections. Some I will sell some I will keep for what me and the kids want/need, but if you are interested I can pm you the guy I use and check out his breaks.

Thanks guys, yeah I really like the book. When this box broke the guy or me lost the connection and didnt get to see it break. Then he went back an showed me the hits that I had missed and I was very happy with the outcome that night on the Bengals pick up, gonna add it to my pc.

I am curious, would any of you more experienced collectors know the answer to this question. On the 2nd pic I know its not the best (sorry no scanner, taken with a phone) the jersey in the 2nd hole. Is it common to have a mistake like that where the jersey does not fit the hole? it's almost like they cut it to short and just slapped it in there and said "oh well". Would this make my card more or less valuable to a PC?

some people won't care, but lots do. if it is a low numbered card, you may be able to recoup some money if you try to sell but if it is a fairly high S/N card, I think most people would pass on it & find one that is inserted correctly.

Edit: I just looked at the photo again. If you're keeping it, I wouldn't bother with it but if you're looking to sell, you may talk to Topps to see if they can replace it.

Your best bet is to contact Topps and via email find out if they have a return policy. I've heard from some forum members that it is difficult to do so with Topps. I personally have returned two cards to Panini. They immediately contacted me via email/website and had my new card back to me in a week. Both cards were numbered, in this circumstance, they destroy your damaged card and print the same number on a new card to send back to you. Panini's customer service is absolutely fantastic.

As for the value of the card? If anything at all, the value will be on the negative side. To sell that card on the secondary market, you would almost have to give it away.

So keep it as a coffee table conversational piece, or see if Topps will trade it for a new one.

If I may add, I've only started to collect football cards in December of 2012. So take my advice with some caution as I am a novice at this point. In truth Mrs. Toshi says that after 20 years of marriage, I'm full of s#%^. LOL!

The majority of the members of this forum have much more experience hence, their advice is the way to go.

I was just reading the support feature and it says I need original packaging, sales receipt. Now this maybe a problem, because of the fact that I got it from a group break off ebay bids?
