As those who read my threads know we are not much into the hobby stuff alot, more the retail pickups and we have hit some nice things in it. Well over the weekend we were headed to the card shop, it was closed so we headed to target since it was the closest. Well while there I picked up a few random boxes and my son wanted one of those boxes with 1 GU,3 packs, and 1 graded card in it. Here is what he pulled as the graded card which was a very very nice hit.

2010 score Demaryius Thomas Rookie with a 10 rating which is just awesome

I got a small red box that contained 1 auto and 4 sealed packs since I had never tried those, I had always seen the black one containing 1 GU and 3 sealed packs. This is what I pulled

2005 Sage Hit Vernand Morency Gold auto #43/150

Well Inside a pack of 4 was a 2012 topps retail pack, I pulled this and was really stoked considering I have never seen one.

2012 Super Bowl MVP QB Immortals Trophy Card of Kurt Warner what made this even cooler was it was #13/46 his jersey number. And from what I see on the odds of puling its 1-6,500 packs

This Jordan Cameron 2011 R&S Rookie auto was another in it #/350

    2012 topps magic rookie RGIII

The Jordan Cameron looks like it has damage but its the loader its just new phone and have not adjusted the camera just yet. But that was a pretty cool trip and ended up with a few nice things for cheap including a clear trophy card I have never even seen. Hope you enjoy seeing these few things, as much as we enjoy collecting them.

Always great to see people get hits out of retail purchases! The bad thing is that I can't afford a hobby box right now (hell, I can't even afford cards at all right now), and this makes me want to drop some coin on a few retail boxes!

Congratulations! The Kurt Warner card is one of the best pulls I've ever seen from the standpoint of a retail product.

        Toshi

P.S. Is the Warner card acetate or glass?
I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.

nice hit on the Warner & Cameron. Hopefully he continues to grow since he actually has a QB coming next year. Could end up being a really nice hit.

The reason I ventured to ask is that Brett has a similar card from Donruss and it's a glass card. Once again, an awesome hit!

Awesome cards. I may have to try the target near me and see if I have any luck like you had.

Thanks again guys, yeah I really like the warner. Back in the 90s playing madden I was always playing with the rams(probably cause they were the best on the game at the time). But its a first of its kind in my collection and I need to display it with pride as a football fan.

HaKuna, in all honesty I buy hobby stuff sometimes for both myself and the kids. But without paying the outrageous prices of ebay for older stuff. This is a easy way for us to get some of them, plus the added extra of 1 auto/mem per box for $10.00. I hate spending $50-$100 on a box and not even getting my moneys worth out of them. And when we get things like this out them it makes it all that much better.

Still the odds of it not being the hit included in the pack that was already packaged in 1of4 random inserted retail packs was amazing, again 1-6,500 packs was the odds of hitting that card.
