  • Mailday - Part Deux

Came home last night after watching my youngest boy wrestle and what do I see sitting in the mailbox? Post Office goodness! Here are some of the highlights.

Told Bentley that I have a PC card for him when he wins his first wrestling tournament. Little bugger almost got it on the first try! Took 2nd and will have to wait for this beauty.

I've been trying to get a few more HOF autographs lately and this card stood out to me. It could be the quarterback pose for a running back. Just like the look of it and it shows Mr. Hornung as a young man.

One of personal favorite memories of growing up was watching the Montana led 49ers dominate Super Bowls. It takes more than one guy though!

Who doesn't love Earl Campbell and the Oilers baby blue??

Have you ever wondered how many yards Elway threw for in his career? Here you go...

And the icing on the cake...

Your son in a wrestling competition brings back fond memories of my son of whom also wrestled in Streetsboro High School. Always try to go to these sports or after school activities, to the best of your abilities. I know life can get complicated and busy, but many years from now you will always have that memory that a photo can't replay for you in your mind.

Most TBI people can't remember anything at all. Complete amnesia. Luckily, and I mean really luckily, I can recall everything that ever happened in my entire life with days and dates up until my accident in 2010. Enjoy your time with your son, it's really priceless.

As for your cards? Congratulations! My all time favorite has to be the Paul Hornung auto card. That's a classic! Not to say that the other cards aren't good, there all beuatiful and fantastic. I'm just a real lover of old school cards. I've been slowly but surely collecting and starting very small sets of 1911 T-206 Baseball Cards. It's awesome to find and hold something over a hundred years old. Great thread, I love it when forum members can acclimate their personal and family lives and bridge this hobby or any hobby for that matter. That's the true meaning of collecting, the human side of it, and having something that's worth some money doesn't hurt at all, that's just an extra perk!

    Thank you for this thread,
    Toshi
I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.

Thanks for the kind words Toshi! You are correct, those memories are priceless.

Thanks Brady, if only some of those nice patches would turn into nice players. Used to live in Jacksonville when Brunell, Boselli, Jimmy Smith, and Fred Taylor were tearing it up. Wish those days would return.
