What are your thoughts on the state of UD?

Now that they are out of the three major sports, and are sharing hockey how do you think they will fare? Also, how do you feel about the state of the hobby as a whole with the absence of them?
Just curious as to what others think about it

I think it's time for Panini to step in and be right there with Topps...

UD had their chance, and they have cleary failed in almost every aspect

Frankly, I think they're a sinking ship. All they have left is hockey, and the general consensus seems to be that ITG blows UD out of the water in terms of hockey cards.

As a racing collector first, it doesn't matter to me what happens to UD. I've seen a monopoly as far as companies go for a long time with Press Pass in the racing card business, and they never fail to amaze me.

I'm sure Panini alone could keep customers satisfied for a long time as long as they do it right.
