  • the 500 wins club

It's really cold out and I'm bored so here is a mini show

autographs of goalies who has won 500 + games

1 Martin Brodeur with 600 wins and still going

2 Patrick Roy with 551 wins

    and that's the show lol.
maybe I'll try for the 400 + wins next

    3 Ed Belfour with 484
    4 Curtis Joseph with 454
5 Terry Sawchuk with 447 (probably impossible)
6 Jacques Plante with 437 (another tough one)
    7 Tony Esposito with 423
8 Glenn Hall with 407 (tough as well)
    9 Grant Fuhr with 403
10 Chris Osgood with 396 (he should get to 400)

won't be an easy task.. may have to skip a few

Glenn Hall isn't too tough. There are some more recent ones. They go for $10 to $20, unless more limited.

Plante and Sawchuk will probably have to be razor cuts.

Vernon hasn't signed many. I've been on the hunt for one for awhile.

I still haven't been able to figure out how to collect my goalie autos.

If it's based on wins alone, a lot of goalies in the 90's-2000's will be in that list. Guys like Dryden or Cheevers (who played in the WHA) don't even make 300 wins.

The other thing is a goalie like Gump Worsley has a losing record but has 335 wins.

shutouts even harder b/c you get a bunch of goalies like Sawchuk and Hainsworth which are almost impossible to get. Those have to be 1/1 or Razor cuts. each could cost $300++!!

I might just go for the top 50 goalies in wins, just to catch everyone. Any goalie ranked lower with a winning record. Or top 75 goalie wins, but then you're getting guys like Lalime or Guy Hebert. Lalime has 200 wins.

Maybe I'll cut it off at top 50 and/or min. 225 wins with a winning record.

            Cheevers' stats: 418GP 230W 102L 74T.

He lost 1 out of 4 games only!!
