No Black Diamond?

Not sure if this was covered yet or not....but.....

I am a fan of the Black Diamond Hockey Cards.

With Upper Deck NOT having the NHL license anymore....does that mean no more Black Diamond? Or can someone else pick that product up?

Upper Deck still has their NHL license, they just don't hold the exclusive license now as Panini has been granted one as well. There will be less sets produced by UD next year, but I doubt Black Diamond will be one of the sets to be axed. Look for something like UD Victory for one to be cut, plus a couple others.

Didn't they say OPC metal will be cut?

I like BD too. I hope they cut Victory, Ovation, Collector's choice, and reduce the size of OPC sets. MVP could be on the chopping block too. This is just based on how little I hear of people actually collecting these sets. Some of the Fleer stuff have been pretty weak too.

Sets I like are Trilogy, Artifacts, and Ice for their base cards.
