  • Tigers decline Peralta's $7.25M option (AP)

The Detroit Tigers have declined shortstop Jhonny Peralta's $7.25 million option for next season but say they still hope to re-sign him. Team president and general manager Dave Dombrowski said Tuesday the club is "optimistic" a deal can be worked out. Peralta will receive a $250,000 buyout.

They won't though, which is why I'm happy..

Spend 8 mil on JA-Honny Peralta or spend 12 mil on Adam Dunn. I choose Dunn then sign Werth and get Stephen Drew and send Peralta packing!

Because I live in a dream where the Tigers get someone useful like Stephen Drew and not a hitter who only tries to pull the bull and has the worse ranger than Carlos Guillen...

Seriously Tigers can have this lineup next season

            1. Austin Jackson CF
            2. Stephen Drew SS
            3. Jayson Werth LF
            4. Miguel Cabrera 1B
            5. Adam Dunn RF
            6. Magglio Ordonez DH
            7. Brandon Inge 3B
            8. Scott Sizemore/Will Rhymes 2B
            9. Alex Avila C

I like that lineup, because Peralta is nowhere near it

Yea....only problem is that the Tigers won't get any decent free agents.

$10 bet that they get either Werth, Dunn or Crawford?
