Dodgers Non-Tender Russell Martin, George Sherrill, & Trent Oeltjen

It's official, The Dodgers have non-tendered Russell Martin, George Sherrill and Trent Oeltjen. All 3 players are now Free Agents and can sign with any team.

Russ was one of the toughest decisions I've had to make. We tried many times to strike a deal but just couldn't bridge the gap. We still have interest in continuing discussions with Russell.

Dylan Hernandez reports that the Dodgers are close to resigning Rod Barajas.

This could mean A.J. Ellis might become the starter on Opening Day if the Dodgers don't sign a veteran catcher.
