I live in St. Louis and the talk today was about resting him until after the All Star break. Then on ESPN I see a poll about sitting him until after the break. I don't get it. It isn't a pulled hammy or twisted ankle. In those cases rest is better for the injury. His arm is either good enough to play or it isn't. Resting it won't change that.

Why does everyone want Pujols to rest?

I agree with this, does seem fast from the injury we were told he had but what we are hearing from the Cards here is that it wasn't as bad as orginally thought and that three weeks to a month is normal for what he had (basically a really bad sprain). If that is true, and we have no reason to believe it isn't, there should be no reason not to play him. Now if they come out and say "Yeah, his arm isn't great right now, but good enough" then I would agree, rest him, but from what they are saying, he is good to go, no reason to sit him.Originally posted by gladdyontherise View PostIn my opinion I think its because you don't see someone come back so quickly after a fractured wrist. I question myself if he's really healthy, this type of injury in the past has really hurt a players career (Derrek Lee comes to mind)Working on 2007 SPx Baseball Rookies Sub Set

His arm is 100%. he had a bad sprain or slight break. Your arm can't be sorta healed from those injuries. He either can go or can't go with that injury.Originally posted by RAYJAYSOLDIER View Postjust because he is cleared doesn't mean he is 100%. they feel he is healthy enough to start playing again, and can contribute, but maybe not as much as before the injury.Working on 2007 SPx Baseball Rookies Sub Set

i agree with petites army, he's good enough to play so stop all this "he shouldn't play till the all star break ends" players have gone threw this before. He wants to play now not like sucky jason heyward who says "i can't play unless i'm 100 percent healthy". If albert says he can play, if doctors say he can play, let him play
