  • John Lackey agrees to deal with Red Sox

Pending a physical, Lackey's deal is 5 years and roughly $82.5 million. Slightly more than AJ burnett's deal with the Yankees
I like 08 topps and get IP autographs.

Great first my team loses Figgins, now Lackey. Plus they just waived Arredondo and Moseley. This is going to be a long offseason.

Angels are taking some hits this offseason, wow. At least Abreu is staying.

Yeah, I think the M's might be the favorite next season

I don't want to face King Felix or Lee (although he might tail off...) plus they have Ichiro.

Then maybe the Rangers will get into the mix but who knows...the west is all up in the air imo

I'd certianly disagree with him being overrated, he's done well in his career, very well in fact, i just think he's banking off of a weak pitching free agent class, not his fault, so more power to him

He's good, but he's not that good

                    I was just thinking that

If you are the best hitter/pitcher in your fa class, you will get PAID

He's above average, but is getting paid like a #1 or really good #2, he's an average #2 in my opinion, 102-71 in his career with a 3.81 ERA, good numbers, but i've just never really been big on him,

                      just my opinion though

                        Yeah, I agree with you

                        I think he'd be a #3 on the Cardinals....
