  • Phillies acquire RF Pence from Astros (AP)

The Philadelphia Phillies made another deadline splash Friday night, acquiring All-Star right fielder Hunter Pence from the Houston Astros. The NL East-leading Phillies got Pence and cash from Houston for three minor leaguers and a player to be named, shoring up their lineup as they try to make it back to the World Series for the third time in four years.

Yeah the Phillies didnt even trade Domonic Brown to Houston. Im not sure who the 4 prospects are, but I know Brown is one of their top ones.

This looks like a great- short term - trade for Phillies. I am not sure about the guys they traded.

They traded their top two prospects to get Pence. IF they pan out, it's a great deal for Houston.

Who gives up the top two prospects in their entire organization for a guy who becomes the 6th best player on your team? I don't see that as a good deal for Philly at all.

Astros got a great deal for Pence.

The Phillies could of traded for any average RHB and they would do just fine in that Stadium. They gave up two top prospects for a guy that makes the All-Star team because he plays on a bad team and someone has to make it.
