Doug Fister traded to the Tigers!

News just broke through twitter.

Doug Fister and David Pauley to the Tigers and Seattle gets Charlie Furbush and Casper Wells, Francisco Martinez and a PTBNL from Detroit

Getting Fister helps the rotation out alot, has great numbers with the Mariners this season (besides his win/loss record) and Pauley has had a really good season for Seattle also, so he'll help out the bullpen by getting another right handed arm into the mix.

Sad to see Casper Wells go though, I think he has a bright future if he can get everyday ABs. Hope he does well in Seattle.

The Seattle Mariners have sent right-handed starter Doug Fister and reliever David Pauley to the Detroit Tigers for outfielder Casper Wells, infielder Francisco Martinez and left-handed pitcher Charlie Furbush. The trade was made official Saturday. Both Fister and Pauley were packing their belongings into boxes in the Mariners clubhouse ahead of Seattle's game against Tampa Bay.

The Detroit Tigers sent minor-league reliever Chance Ruffin to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday to complete a July 30 trade. Detroit obtained starter Doug Fister and reliever David Pauley from the Mariners in exchange for Ruffin, reliever Charlie Furbush, minor-league third baseman Francisco Martinez.
