I hope the tigers can regroup and make it a great series! Nelson Cruz has been awesome in the playoffs my Rangers look more focused than lastyear!

The Rangers are a power hitting team. The Tigers have some good bats, but with their injuries they are definitely the under dog in the ALCS. So far as firing Leyland, I'd keep him. Leyland led them to the Central division title, and he got them past the Yankees and to the ALCS. No matter what happens, he has done a good job this year. I don't remember, at the beginning of the season, anyone picking the Tigers to win their division.

It's a shame that ALL four in the CS's can't make it to the W S, they ALL deserve it - Tigers, no W S title since 1984- Rangers, no W S title since the franchise was the Washington Senators in the 1920's - Cardinals, no W S since 2006 - AND Brewers, no W S since 1982 and no W S title. At least the "mighty giants" of baseball were ELIMINATED in Round 1, and a team that has been waiting at least 5 years and up to 80+ for a W S title will get it this year.
