  • Removing smoke smell

Anyone have ideas for removing "smoke smell" from a box of cards? I got a box of cards and they reek of smoke. I put some baking powder in the box and that helped, but any other suggestions?

24 hours in the freezer will help - won't completely remove it, but the freezing will break down the odor.

then everything in your freezer will just smell like smoke..

but then you can make athread for questions on how to get rid of that

I hate it when I buy a card(s) on EBAY and it gets here smelling like smoke. Unfortunately the only solution is to get another card. Depending on what card it is, sometimes its really hard to find another one. Sorry that happened to you.

Yeah when the top loader & the penny sleeve is yellowish brown, that is the worst.

So are you guys saying that I shouldn't blow cigarette smoke directly onto my cards? I figured it kind of gave my high end singles that yellowish... vintage look.
