I only watched the 9th inning and that was just as good as watching the whole game. Nice comeback by the Rangers, and I can't believe LaRussa took out Motte.

Another GREAT game from beginning to end. If the remaining games are as good as the first two it's going to be a great W S.

So far as LaRussa taking out Motte, I think he did the right thing. It was Motte who got them in the mess in the 9th that led to their loss. He got no one out, and had runners on 2nd & 3rd. In fact, he ended up being the losing pitcher. The only runners to score were the ones he put on base.

The main items Im looking to trade for are

He's the closer and if Albert cuts the ball off properly, then Andrus wouldn't of scored. There's a reason they are the closers, because they can get out of trouble.

I'm sure Hamilton would rather face Rhodes in that spot that Motte.

Even CLOSERS have bad outings, and Motte was definitely having one. Even without Pujols not cutting off the throw, runners would still have been on 1st and 3rd (instead of 2nd & 3rd). And with the way the two batters hit him, if Motte had stayed in the Rangers may have gotten more than two runs. But that's all speculation. The pitchers who came in after Motte did a better job than he had done. Unfortunately, for the Cardinals, both runners he put on base scored.

Still, it has been a great and very interesting W S so far. I'm glad I'm a baseball fan, instead of a manager of either team. With the way the first two games have gone, the managers must be having a lot of stress. Great games to watch though.

Motte was due to get hit. Only 1 Hit allowed in 9 post season innings. Amazing! Hard to fault LaRussa and I'm not buying into the fact that some people are saying LaRussa has lost complete faith in Motte. Just 1 inning

I don't think Motte pitched badly, didn't make a good pitch to Andrus, but Andrus should've been on first base. The hit by Kinsler was a blooper because of the no doubles defense, or what some may say "many base runners defense".

With that said, Motte has a much better chance at getting out of the jam than Arthur Rhodes, he could strike out Hamilton who is struggling right now (because of injuries).
