Never Thought Any Phil Hughes Card Would Be This Price

Decent pitcher and nice looking card, but this auction price is very high. I am sure someone would pay maybe about $100 for it, but $1500 is really steep.

With Phil Hughes status as either a starter or reliever, up in the air, that is super steep. Me as a Yankee collector, would probably pay around $15-$20. Nice looking card with the autograph and patch, but never really liked the look of the Heroes set.

That seller is INSANE. I would doubt that it would ever go higher than a range of $25-50 (at the very best).

Maybe a store in New York would sell it for $100, but I agree even if it is numbered out of 10, it is still Phil Hughes. If it was Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Mark Texiera, Robinson Cano, Curtis Granderson, CC Sabathia, or Mariana Rivera, I could see it going for a lot more.

He's just paying 50 cents per card to show off what he's got. No way he actually expects someone to pay that much.
