That is probably one of the greatest World Series that I have ever watched. What I thought was cool about Freese, was that he was traded to St. Louis for Jim Edmonds and David Freese is actually Jim Edmonds' son's favorite player. For the hometown-kid to win both the NLCS and WS MVP trophies is just icing on top of the cake. I never even knew Freese started with the Padres organization until tonight. -

Awesome series!!! I was goin for the Cards the whole time...since they took out the Phillies...who took out my Diamondbacks.... I love it when the underdogs pull it off!!!!!

I'm sorry that the Rangers didn't win the W S, would really liked to have seen them get their 1st W S CHAMPIONSHIP. Congratulations Cardinals. However, like YankeeCollector said it was "the greatest World Series I have ever watched". All of the games were great to the last out(almost sounds like Maxwell House coffee - "good to the last drop"), except for the one "blow-out" (16-7). I hope next year the same thing will happen, that two teams that haven't won a W S at all, or not in at least five years, will be the ones playing in the 2012 W S.
I guess now I'll have to watch baseball movies and/or re-runs until the 2012 season kicks off. Other sports, I'll watch now and then, I just don't watch/follow like baseball. Hopefully, time will fly and the 2012 season will be here before I know it.

This hurt 20 times as bad as last year. It makes you sick to know that we were 1 strike away! Congrats to the Cards, it was obvious that the home plate umpire was leaning towards the Cardinals in the last 4 innings, but I guess it doesnt matter now.
