  • MLB Forcing Astros To AL West

MLB wants to move the Houston Astros to the AL West and have both leagues have 15 teams each with 5 teams per division. Well at least this means 10-12 more wins for the Angels each season. LOL!

the rumor was they aren't "forcing" them to the AL... but they are giving the new owner a $70 MILLION discount if he agrees to move the team to the AL... this sounds a BIT more forced now lol

Technically it is being forced, but you are right, he's saving a lot of money to move, so it's a better move for him anyhow.

It's official according to Selig. Owners were 30-0 on the sale. Starting in 2013 you'll have interleague play all season, and the NL needs to get a DH, otherwise all AL teams are done for

Tons of AL teams will have wasted money if they're only using a DH for 60-75% of the season.

Why can't we go back to way baseball was, the pitcher hits and drop the DH!

Because most of us A.L. fans like the extra offense that the D.H. provides. Who wants to watch their favorite pitcher pull a hammy running the bases? Surely not me.
I collect a little bit of everything. But, if I never get back to you, your probably on Ignore!!

I could live with either - I am just tired of one league with the DH and one with out.

As a NL fan, I tend to lean towards their rules, but I would also love to see Ryan Howard hitting as a DH and have someone more like a Casey Kotchman type playing a good defensive 1B and hitting for average.
Favorite baseball players include: Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Kirby Puckett, Pete Rose, Tyler Colvin Mark Appel
Favorite football players include: Peyton Manning, John Elway, Daunte Culpepper, Mike Alstott, Blake Bortles, and Dri Archer
Collecting: 2012 Topps Mini 1987 topps... non-certified autos (in person or through the mail), autographed cards with bible verses

Exactly..... Think of how many NL pitchers get pulled early because they are coming up in the batting order. I wonder how many wins that costs NL pitchers in a given year?

The NL unoficially uses the Dh. It just happens later in the game when the pitcher is coming up to bat.

I saw Fausto Carmona try to 'run' to first base. I never wanna see that again.
