I wonder what ever happened to that Mike Napoli guy that the Angels had...OH WAIT
Sorry Kerwin
The Rockies are close to signing free-agent catcher Ramon Hernandez, a deal that will allow them to trade Chris Iannetta to the Angels.
A baseball source confirmed to CBSSports.com Wednesday night that the deals were close, though not yet complete. The Denver Post reported that the Rockies would receive pitcher Tyler Chatwood from the Angels.
The 35-year-old Hernandez hit .282 with 12 home runs in 91 games last year with the Reds. Iannetta, 28, hit 14 home runs in 112 games for the Rockies with a .238 batting average but a .370 on-base percentage.
