  • Aroldis Chapman Signs w/ Reds

I'm shocked he didn't sign w/ a major team, but it's nice to see players of his caliber go to mediocre teams lol.

I went to see him pitch against Japan this past year, and i was impressed.

Doubt it, He's like Dice-K. He never went to the minors.

He pitched against the top athletes already, i wouldn't be surprised if he was their opening day starter

Very strong signing for the Reds, they could get dangerous, with the pitching they have, if he's the real deal it'll compliment his presence to go with Cueto, & Volquez

Didn't either Cueto/Vasquez have major elbow surgery?

I can't remember who it was...

I remember thinking one of them wouldn't be ready till after the all star break...

i just have a feeling that the reds will not put him in the majors right away and have him pitch a little in the minor leauge, 2 weeks maybe.

No matter how bad he is in spring training, guarnteed he is in the majors, the Reds need some hype to get some more ticket sales, and Chapman helps with that

Well there goes my hope for the Angels to sign another starting pitcher. I hope he does good on the Reds, I can see him being a Future Ace in a year or two. Plus being in a lower market team without a lot of media on him will help him focus just on his game and not on the news spotlight.
