What a bummer

I drove my two sons and one of my son's friends to Columbia yesterday (about an hour away) to visit the Braves Caravan. We got there 45 minutes early, waited in line from 3:15 until 5:30 and at 5:30 the players loaded the bus and left. They signed from 4:00 - 5:30, but left about 50-75 fans (us included) waiting in line with no autographs.

Bright side, my son broke down and started crying (he really wanted Jason Heyward) and one of the ticket sales people gave each of my 3 boys a Braves hat for free. At least it wasn't for nothing, but man, it tugs on your heart as a dad to have them be so excited and then get let down. (players were Heyward, Brian Jordan, Julio Teheran, and Fredi Gonzalez).

The players today should learn from the players from the 60's-70's. They signed forever sometimes. Well the main exception was Dave Kingman, he was a pain and never signed.

That sucks. I went to 3 of the 4 days for the Indians tour this past weekend. They let the players sign a little longer than expected, but some people still got skipped. Players from the shorter line went to the longer one to help and some even signed as they left the building. Sorry it turned out that way for you.

Yeah, things like that you have to get there real early to have a shot..sorry the kids were disappointed but at least they got a new Braves hat..

Haven't had any trouble the past few years in Augusta but we are nearly as large as Columbia. I'll make it up for my boys when we go down to Melbourne for the Nationals spring training practice. We will be there PLENTY early this time. Strasburg, Zimmerman, and Werth...here we come!!!
