    Bobby Abreu staying with the Angels, for now

    I'm not sure how much he has left and I'm not sure what the proposal was. I heard the Angels would've paid most of the salary. I was surprised the Indians were looking at him.


    Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the proposed trade sending Bobby Abreu to the Indians has fallen apart.The trade appeared to be close to going down at some point Thursday, but evidently all of the hurdles couldn't be cleared.

    Thank God. He can stay far away from Cleveland.

      Cleveland makes no sense. They have an aging DH already and Abreu has no glove or range left in the outfield.

          I would have to think there could be a young team that could use his veteran leadership in the dugout. I've heard mixed things about whether he is a "clubhouse guy" or not.

                Ship him out like they did with Gary Matthews. I like Abreau, but it just seems that he is going to be a problem this season because they are not going to play him.
