After defeating TCU 4-1 on Saturday night, the UCLA Bruins earned a spot in Omaha. They will be headed back to the College World Series for the second time in three years.
UCLA went 3-0 in the regionals during the first weekend in June and advanced to play TCU this past weekend in a best of 3 series. The Bruins won the first game 6-2 on Friday and clinched the series with a 4-1 victory on Saturday.
Only six current players -- Trevor Brown, Amaral, Jeff Gelalich, Cody Keefer, Regis and Scott Griggs -- were on the 2010 team when UCLA fell short in the championship series against South Carolina.
UCLA will open up their College World Series on Friday at 2 p.m. against Stony Brook. The game will be televised on ESPN 2.
