ATLANTA — Alex Rodriguez added another record to his Hall of Fame résumé on Tuesday night, tying Lou Gehrig for the most grand slams in baseball history.
For A-Rod and the Yankees, however, the slam represented more than a milestone. It erased seven frustrating innings and sparked a dramatic 6-4 win over the Braves, one completed by Nick Swisher’s two-run homer that capped the Bombers’ six-run eighth inning.
