  • Tigers Offense Shut Down in 4-1 Loss

    The Detroit Tigers lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight 4-1.

    The Tigers struggled to do much on offense today, and didn't score until the 7th inning when they were down 4-0 at the time. Jhonny Peralta hit a double, and Ramon Santiago drove him in with a double of his own.

    Doug Fister went 6 innings giving up 4 runs (2 earned) on 8 hits, walking 1 and striking out 7 batters.

    Luis Marte came in and pitched 2 scoreless innings, but theTigers couldn't get anything going on offense to come back.

    Max Scherzer (6-4 5.17 ERA) takes the mound for the Tigers tommorrow as he goes up against Brad Lincoln (3-2 3.82 ERA).
