  • Justin Verlander Signs 5 Year $80 Million Contract Extension

The Associated Press reports that Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a 5 year $80 million contract extension. If only the Tigers didnt pay Dontrelle Willis all that money, they could have kept Curtis Granderson.

    I just saw this..
Also it wouldn't make much sense for them to sign Damon who would probably make the same as Granderson would and is younger

          Exactally!

Plus with Verlander locked up, Porcello, Scherzer, are both not yet eligible for arbirtration, so they'll be VERY cheap, Jacob Turner is said to be ready for the majors in 2012, but you never know, this one deal set the Tigers up for greatness for years to come (as far as Pitching, Hitting still is awful)

Sure do. That game winning catch sure propelled the Tigers into the Playoffs.

                  Oh, wait....

Atleast we had a chance, something you guys AGAIN have no chance of, locking up JV was saying we plan to win, and aren't planning to rebuild

The current Tigers team has no chance of winning, either.

No, it doesn't. It helps you win. When your bats can't score more than two runs, it doesn't really matter how good your pitching is.
