Wouldn't surprise me if Antonetti is shopping Asdrubal for a solid SP, and then just keeps Aviles as a stop gap for a few years until Lindor is ready.

That's what I thought of, because otherwise, it's a pointless deal since Aviles isn't playing over Kipnis or Cabrera.
