      Miguel Cabrera & Prince Fielder Named Silver Slugger Winners


      Tonight, MLB Network announced that Miguel Cabrera won the Silver Slugger award for AL 3rd basemen and Prince Fielder won the Silver Slugger award for AL 1st basemen.

      Cabrera hit .330 this season, hitting 44 Home Runs and had 139 RBI. He had a .606 slugging percentage and .999 OPS. It's his 4th career Silver Slugger award.

      Fielder hit .313, hitting 30 Home Runs and had 108 RBI. He had a .528 slugging percentage and .940 OPS. It's his 3rd career Silver Slugger award.

            Mike Trout Wins A Silver Slugger



            Mike Trout may have not won a Gold Glove, but he did take home a Silver Slugger this season. At the age of 21/22, he had an amazing season.

            He was also named a finalist for the AL Rookie of the Year and AL MVP, which the winners will be announced next week.

                the only things Butler did better,was have fewer K's,and a higher batting average,Dunn hits for far more power than Butler does,and he drives in more runs

                      Billy Butler.

                      Silver slugger isn't a power award though, it's just an offensive award, and Butler is far and away the better offensive player.
