Reds To Sign Ryan Ludwick: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com

The Reds agreed to sign Ryan Ludwick, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports (on Twitter). John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer first reported the Reds were making progress toward a deal with the BHSC client.

It's a two-year contract worth $15MM, reports Heyman (on Twitter).

I wouldn't expect Ludwick to put up the numbers he did last year.

Maybe not, but that's been said several different times now, and he's come thru. For a guy whose career was supposed to be dead 8 years ago.....he's managed to put together a nice little run.

I can't think of a professional athlete that isn't overpaid!

Some athletes have had 4 years of high school and 4 years of college to hone their craft and make millions of dollars to play kids games.

In mere weeks, we train young men to become soldiers, place them in harms way, and when they come home in a coffin draped in the American flag, we give their family $10,000 and regards from a grateful nation. Where's the justice?
