Dodgers Sign Hyun-Jin Ryu: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com

The Dodgers have signed Korean left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu for $36MM over six years with an opt out after the fifth year, reports Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com. The opt out also includes an innings threshold, tweets Yahoo! Sports' Tim Brown.

The Dodgers are annoying, I hope they don't make the playoffs.

If he follows the typical Asian pitcher of recent years, he will be good for about 2 years, decent for another, and then 3 years of hoping his contract runs out soon or that someone will pick him up!

Dodgers Sign Korean Pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu

It's official! The rotation is beginning to look amazing. Ryu is also bringing back the 99 jersey, I can't wait for the season to start. I'm glad the Dodgers didn't give Scott Boras what he wanted.

          From ESPN:
The Dodgers signed Korean left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu shortly before a Sunday deadline, wrapping up a productive weekend in which they may have acquired their No. 2 and 3 starting pitchers.
Ryu's deal is for six years and sources told ESPN it's worth $36 million with an out clause that kicks in after the fifth year if he has pitched 750 or more innings.
