  • Tigers sign Damon

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/s...r_espn_4931560

Damon and the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a $8 million one year deal. See what happens when Boras is your agent, he can make you lose a couple million lol.

Yankees offered Damon $13 million shortly after the World Series, but they declined it and the Yanks didn't want to give him a long-term deal.

This deal makes NO SENSE! Why not just keep Curtis, he's younger, hits more power, drives more runs in and is younger!

At least it is only for 1 year. Thats what happens when players or should I say their agents get greedy. Just because it worked with Chan Ho Park and Barry Zito doesnt meant it will work with everyone.

So much for the 'shedding salary cap' excuse, the pay roll is going to be just about the same this season as it was last season

Sadly yes, and the next highest offer was said to be 4.5 million from Atlanta, they should've let Damon walk, Raburn/Thomas/Ramirez/Wells platooning would've saved money and been as effective
