  • Braves Sign Julio Teheran To 6 Years $32.4 Million

    Y! SPORTS

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) -- Right-hander Julio Teheran and the Atlanta Braves agreed to terms on a six-year, $32.4 million contract on Friday with a club option for the 2020 season.

The deal with the 23-year-old Teheran was another move by the team to lock up a key young player on a long-term deal. First baseman Freddie Freeman, 24, agreed to $135 million, eight-year deal on Feb. 5, the same day the team announced a two-year, $13.3 million deal with right fielder Jason Heyward, 24.

Incredible deal for the Braves as his annual salary for the next 6 years will be less than most 4th and 5th starters out there and he may potentially move into a 1 or 2 slot before he is done with this contract... and his six years will cost less than 1 year with the Yankees

There was talk about Minor being offered terms but he has yet to accept a deal as of yet... They tried to give him Uggla but Minor refused that one like every other major league team.
